Solar Energy Systems and Steel Construction
Solar Energy
Among wind, solar, geothermal, biomass, hydroelectric, and
green hydrogen, solar and wind energy will be the two main driving forces in
Turkey’s achievement of its “2053 Net Zero” goals, especially since
the 2000s, showcasing significant successes.
According to the “National Energy Plan” prepared
by the Republic of Turkey Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Turkey’s
solar energy installed capacity, which was 11,300 MW at the end of 2023, is
expected to reach 52,900 MW by 2035.
These figures indicate that in the next 11 years, the level
of solar energy capacity achieved to date will be approximately five times
higher.
While all developed countries invest in renewable and clean
energy technologies to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels, the domestic
production of energy equipment becomes critically important.
In this context, Azra Galvaniz has intensified its R&D
activities to enable the domestic production of renewable energy equipment and
has included steel structures for solar energy plants in its product range.
Solar Energy Plants refer to systems that convert energy
from the sun, a renewable and clean energy source, into electrical energy. The
polygon, pipe, or lattice-type steel structures beneath the solar panels, which
are installed on roofs and large land areas, adapt to all natural environmental
conditions.
Solar lighting poles store the electricity produced through
solar panels in a battery system and use it for lighting purposes.
The steel structures and solar lighting poles, produced
specifically to meet customer needs on state-of-the-art machinery by Azra
Galvaniz’s expert and experienced engineers, make a significant contribution to
the development of our country’s solar energy installed capacity.
